As we move into virtual learning next week, you should have received an email from your childś teacher with information about See Saw (KG) and Class Dojo (1st Grade), or Google Classroom (2nd-4th Grade). Teachers will be working together as a grade level to post all lessons and assignments in ELA, Math and Specials. They have been working on District teams as well this week so you might see videos from Hoover teachers or from other teachers in LPS. Our teachers will also be having a weekly meeting with students. It is important for students to participate and be involved in their learning during these last 7 weeks of school. If you have not signed up for their virtual classrooms use this weekend to sign up. We sent an email yesterday with Resources for Online Learning that Mrs. Jungwirth put together if you need some support. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with your questions and concerns. STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK
The week of May 4-8 is Staff Appreciation Week. Imagine how much the Hoover staff misses seeing those precious smiling faces every week. Educating our children in the classroom is their passion, and now they are challenged to learn how to teach remotely. The PTA will be sharing ideas to make that week special for the Hoover staff. Let’s celebrate them!
SCIENCE FAIR
If your family wanted to participate in the Virtual Science Fair, it is not too late. Nuts About Science, our after school science enrichment program is offer Science Kits. Any of these kits would work for a science activity for the fair. Their website is www.nutsaboutscience.com
