Hello Hoover Rockets,
We are busy reading, writing, learning, being mindful, sharing ideas and problem solving at Hoover. Thank you for making sure your children have warm coats, gloves and hats for recess.

Reminder:  No school on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next week due to Thanksgiving Break.

Outdoor Classroom

This week classes began to plant seeds in their garden rings in the Outdoor Classroom.  This is Mrs. Christensen's class outside ready to plant.

Library Cafe

In Library this week Mrs. Jungwirth opened the Library Cafe.  Third and Fourth grade students were able to "taste" books by reading a few pages and then they answered questions on their "menu" about the book.  Then they rotated to a different table to "taste" more books.  Thank you Mrs. Jungwirth for providing a creative way for students to read a variety of genre besides Graphic Novels.

Did you know that Hoover student art work is displayed out in the Livonia Community?  Next time you are eating at Sam's Place look for our Hoover Art.  Sam's Place is located at 33251 Five Mile on the corner of Farmington Road and Five Mile.  Thank you Ms.Mitchell for sharing our artists with the Community.

The Original Works orders are due on Monday.  Thank you for supporting Hoover.

If you are choosing to participate in this fundraiser, please send back your order form, payment, AND your child's art in the provided plastic bag.  Your child's artwork will be returned along with the products ordered.

If you  are not participating in this fundraiser, please keep the art that your child created at Hoover.

Just after Thanksgiving Break there are some fun events planned for our Hoover Rockets.

CITY OF LIVONIA HOLIDAY PARADE Hoover Elementary is going to be participating in the City of Livonia’s Holiday Parade onSunday, December 3rd, 2017! The parade is scheduled to start at 4:00pm and should last about an hour. Please come decked out in your Holiday attire (i.e. Santa hats, reindeer antlers, lights, garland, etc.)  You are welcome to hand out candy along the parade route, too.  We are asking everyone to arrive at Frost Middle School by 3:00pm for staging purposes. Please note participation is limited to 100 people.  Please RSVP with the total number attending.  Also, you are responsible for your children throughout the entire duration of the parade, from staging to parade route completion, and will need to provide your own candy to pass out.  Please dress appropriately for the weather and be ready to have some fun representing our Hoover Rockets. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090C44A9AC23A7FB6-city           If you have any questions, please direct them to Nicole Mercieca merzas@yahoo.com or Carmin Haylock carminhaylock@yahoo.com HOOVER HOLIDAY SHOP The Hoover Holiday Shop is just a few weeks away. On Thursday and Friday, December 7thand 8th, from 9am-3pm, our Hoover Rockets will have the opportunity to shop for their families. Each class will have 25-30 minutes to shop. Volunteers are needed on both days to walk the classes to and from the community room and assist the children with their shopping/purchasing of gifts.  This is a wonderful way to spend time with our AMAZING HOOVER ROCKETS, enjoy their enthusiasm, and get into the holiday spirit.
