The Battle of the Books was so much fun!  The students were very excited to answer questions and compete.  We had a tie and had to go to the challenging bonus questions.  Congratulations to the winning teams!  Thank you to the teachers, parents and PTA for bringing us this wonderful event.  Here is the link to the video:

PENNY WARS: April 16th-20th Hoover will have our annual Penny Wars. The contest will decide what animal the PTA should adopt at the Detroit Zoo. Our Hoover Rockets, and sometimes community members, bring in their spare change and place it in one of two jars. This year’s two animal choices will be the giraffe or kangaroo. The winning animal will be adopted and a plaque will be placed outside their habitat at the zoo. This is a fun contest for the students, may the favorite animal win!!!

SCIENCE FAIR: We are very excited to announce we have 121 participants at the Art Fair/Science Fair/Ice Cream Social on April 26th!!! We are looking forward to seeing all of the AMAZING science projects. This will for sure be a night you won’t want to miss!! Please contact Christina Testa, Christina.testa.80@gmail.com, if your participating student did not receive their application returned along with their Science Journal.
